Rajouri, TDD, White Knight Corps organised a social outreach White Knight Corps Celebrates the Children’s Day to Raise Awareness about the rights, education and Welfare of Childrencampaign today to celebrate the Children’s Day and raise awareness about the rights, education, and welfare of children. Invitations were extended to children from 13 villages as well as 10 primary and secondary schools in remote border areas of Rajouri district. Children’s Day is celebrated in India every year on the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to raise awareness about the rights, health and welfare of children. To celebrate this year’s Children’s Day a social outreach was organised at the Hanjanwali village in Rajouri district. The event was attended by 90 children of different age groups along with their families from nearby border villages. Several engaging activities such as Sack Race, Jalebi Race, Archery along with a short motivational film was screened for the children. Distribution of stationary items such as notebooks and writing material was undertaken as prizes for the winners. The fun and frolic culminated with a healthy lunch for the young attendees. The Children’s Day is a great opportunity to remind the people of their responsibility in raising the future generations of our nation. Today’s event marked Indian Army’s efforts to connect with the young populace and having a dialogue with their families.TDD
