Diplomat Correspondent

Nagrota,DD: In a significant step towards improving rural water security, the White Knight Corps of the Indian Army distributed 10 high-quality water storage tanks to villages of Nadore Panchayat in the Nagrota region.
The initiative was carried out under the Army’s flagship Operation Sadbhavana Programme, which focuses on enhancing the quality of life in remote and rural areas of Jammu Region.
The distribution drive aims to address long-standing challenges related to safe drinking water storage in rural households. Many villages in the Nadore area face issues of irregular water supply and inadequate storage facilities, which directly affect health, hygiene, and daily living conditions.
The newly provided water syntax tanks will help reduce contamination, prevent wastage and ensure families have access to safer and more reliable water storage solutions.
Operation Sadbhavana has consistently worked to uplift communities through targeted interventions in health, education, infrastructure development and overall well-being. The latest initiative reinforces the Indian Army’s commitment to strengthening civil–military cooperation and supporting grassroots development.

Local residents expressed heartfelt gratitude to the White Knight Corps for understanding their needs and providing practical, long-term solutions. Community leaders highlighted that improved water storage will significantly benefit households, especially women who bear the daily responsibility of managing water for domestic use.
By addressing essential needs such as clean water and sanitation, the Indian Army continues to play a pivotal role in fostering trust, stability and progress across the Jammu region.
The distribution drive stands as yet another example of how Operation Sadbhavana is transforming lives and contributing to rural development with compassion and dedication.DD
