Will burry terrorism several inches below ground in J&K: Amit Shah at Paddar

TDD Correspondent

Jammu, (TDD): Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said BJP led government at the Centre will give befitting response to the efforts of terrorism revival in J&K and that the terrorism will be buried several inches below the ground so that it doesn’t erupt again in the UT.
“Those who can’t digest peace in J&K are trying to revive the terrorism the way it was here in 1990. But our government is committed to burry terrorism many feet below the ground so that it doesn’t erupt again,” Shah said addressing a massive rally in Padder-Nagseni Assembly constituency in Kishtwar district of Jammu.
Taking a jibe at National Conference chief Dr Farooq Abdullah, Shah said where was he when “bloodbath was taking place.” “He should be asked if he comes here. I know where he was then. He was enjoying in London,” Shah said.
He said NC-Congress alliance has always set a base for terrorism. “These parties are responsible for pushing Maharaja Hari Singh from J&K. Only his mortal remains returned to J&K,” Shah said, adding that the NC-Congress is always responsible for mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits.
He asked whether people want to bring back NC-Congress, the BJP workers shouted “No.” “I want to ask NC-Congress how you can bring back Article 370. Let me clarify that neither terrorism nor Article 370 won’t return,” he said.
He said Centre has laced the Village Defence Guards (VDGs) and Special Police Officer (SPO) with latest weapons and further strengthened them. “This is being done to ensure infiltrators who come here to disrupt peace are buried in the mountains only,” Shah said.
Praising the people of Paddar-Nagseni, the Home Minister said: “Paddar-Nagseni always stood with the India’s integrity. This area has sacrificed as well. The ancestors of this place have played a great role and I salute them.”
He said no body will be allowed to use Indian soil for terrorism. About the Article 370, Shah said there is no place for Article 370 in the Indian constitution. This Article has become an old chapter of India’s history,” Shah said.
About Omar Abdullah, Shah said that earlier he stated that he won’t contest. “Then he decides to contest from two seats. This shows his shaky ground. Let me tell you, you can’t win from either seats,” he said.
Shah reiterated that as long as there is Modi government at the Centre, no power can reverse the reservation given to Gujjars’ and Paharis. The Home Minister said that there was no question of bringing back two constitutions, two flags, and two leaders. “Dr Shama Prasad Mukherji’s vision and mission has been fulfilled and no power can reverse these things,” he said. Shah is scheduled to address two more rallies one at Kishtwar and another at Ramban—(TDD).
