VIJAYPUR: TDD- Apni Party’s Contesting Candidate for Vijaypur Assembly Constituency, and Former Minister, S. Manjit Singh has assured that if he gets elected as Member of Legislative Assembly from the Vijaypur Constituency, he will try to uplift the living standard of the weaker section of society by  empowering them and ensuring equitable development.

“The Vijaypur Assembly Constituency has remained neglected for decades, apparently the poor population and members of Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribes, were among the worst affected people, who were allegedly discriminated and not provided the benefits of the Govt schemes to uplift their living standard and ensure development of road infrastructure in their respective areas,” said S. Manjit Singh, addressing one of the public meetings in Vijaypur Constituency.

The Former Minister addressed series of public meetings and led road marches in different areas during which the people from different walks of life met him and informed him about their plight without the development, unscheduled power cuts, irregular tab water, unhygienic condition of localities, damaged/uprooted/kacha roads, narrow passages that require widening work, and growing unemployment.

In these meetings, S. Manjit Singh expressed his gratitude towards the people, who came forward and extended their unconditional support.

“I am overwhelmed with the response shown by the people. The people are jubilant to participate in the legislative assembly elections to elect their representatives with a purpose to get their works done. For the last ten years, the people were deprived of democratic institutions, and elected representatives. Under these circumstances, the bureaucracy worked as their wishes and their unilateral decisions have shaken the faith of the people as most of them were against the poor, and unprivileged people,” he added.

He vowed that he would fight for the people and their demand of equitable development, upgradation of living standard of the economically weaker section, to curb drug addiction/smuggling, generation of opportunities of employment for the educated youth etc.

He said that the people want a balanced Govt that could address their concerns without creating division among the people for their political agenda. The Apni Party is the only political party that is straightforward and tells truth to the powers. Hence, if the Party forms the Govt, we will not allow the outsiders to grab the resources – that are meant for the local population, and employment in industries and other sectors would be reserved for the local youth.TDD
