Winter Vacation Dates Announced for Kashmir Schools: Break Starting December 9 and 16 for primary, middle classes

TDD Correspondent

Srinagar, (TDD) Kashmir schools are set to begin their winter holidays soon after the completion of ongoing exams, with vacations scheduled to start on December 9 for classes 1 and 2, and on December 16 for classes 3 to 9.

The winter vacation schedule, carefully coordinated by the School Education Department, aims to provide students with a much-needed break while minimizing disruption to the academic calendar.

According to sources, the winter break for classes 1 and 2 will begin on December 9, while students in classes 3 to 9 can look forward to their holidays starting December 16.

The timing of the winter vacation is crucial, offering students in both urban and rural areas an opportunity to prepare for the harsh winter conditions, particularly in higher-altitude schools where snowfall and extreme cold often disrupt regular schedules.

This announcement comes as a welcome relief for students and parents, providing ample time for rest and preparation before the new academic term begins.(TDD)
