KISHTWAR: DD, The Block Medical Office (BMO) Kishtwar , Dr Anil Kumar Sharma marked International Women’s Day with a special event, recognizing the contributions of doctors, paramedics, and healthcare workers in the district.
The program saw active participation from block-level doctors, paramedics, and BMO office staff, who gathered to honor the dedication of women in healthcare.
Dr. Anil Sharma, Block Medical Officer (BMO) Kishtwar, and Dr. Nazir Hussain, Medical Officer, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the vital role of women in strengthening the healthcare system.
During the ceremony, appreciation certificates and mementos were awarded to Misra Begum (ASHA), Reeta Devi (ASHA), and Shagufta Begum (CHO) in recognition of their unwavering commitment and service to public health.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Anil Sharma said, “Women in healthcare play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our communities. Echoing his sentiments, Dr. Nazir Hussain stated, “ASHA workers are the backbone of our healthcare system.
Their relentless efforts in maternal and child health, vaccination drives, and public awareness programs are invaluable. Recognizing their contributions today is a small token of appreciation for their tireless service.”
