Workshop organised in GDC Kishtwar

Kishtwar,DD, A Workshop on Flagship Schemes was successfully organized at Government Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar by My Bharat Mera Yuva Bharat-Doda/Kishtwar, under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, in collaboration with the NSS Unit of GDC Kishtwar. The program was conducted under the mentorship of the worthy Principal Prof. Basharat Iqbal and the supervision of NSS Programme Officer Prof. Esarul Ayub.

The workshop featured four distinguished resource persons who delivered valuable insights on key government initiatives. Prof. Esarul Ayub, Assistant Professor of Economics, delivered an in-depth session on Mission YUVA (Young India, Young Aspirations), focusing on how youth can actively participate in nation-building and policy implementation. Mr. Ajaz, JKEDI Nodal Officer, District Kishtwar, spoke about the Startup India Scheme, elaborating on practical steps, eligibility criteria, and success stories to encourage young entrepreneurs to establish startups and contribute to economic growth.

Dr. Tabassum Saleem presented a detailed overview of the Digital India Programme, stressing the importance of digital literacy, e-governance, and how digital inclusion can bridge the urban-rural divide. Mr. Rashid, from the Rural Development Department (RDD), explained various RDD Flagship Schemes, highlighting rural infrastructure development, employment generation programs, and social welfare schemes aimed at improving the quality of life in rural areas.

The worthy Principal, Prof. Basharat Iqbal, guided and motivated the participants through his inspiring address, emphasizing the importance of youth awareness and active engagement in government schemes for holistic national development. The program was attended by several esteemed faculty members, including Prof. Prithvi Raj, Prof. Yasir, Prof. Usman, Prof. Ashfaq Wani, among others, who actively participated and encouraged students to make the best use of the information shared. The event concluded successfully with vibrant participation from students and faculty, fostering a spirit of responsibility and motivating the youth to actively engage in nation-building efforts through government flagship programs.DD
