Yogi Adityanath rallies support in J&K’s Ramnagar, touts BJP’s development agenda, slams NC, PDP and Congress

Ramnagar, (TDD): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and prominent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yogi Adityanath addressed a massive gathering in the Ramnagar constituency of Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir.

The rally, held at the Raja Ram Singh Stadium in Ramnagar, drew a large crowd eager to hear the firebrand leader’s message.

Adityanath’s visit was primarily to campaign for BJP candidate Sunil Bhardwaj, who is contesting from Ramnagar. Accompanying the UP Chief Minister were Dr. Jitendra Singh, a Union Minister, Ravinder Raina, the BJP candidate from Nowshera, and the state BJP president.

During his address, Adityanath highlighted the power of the BJP’s “double engine” government, citing the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya as a prime example. He emphasized that the temple’s completion after 500 years of struggle was a testament to the party’s commitment to its promises.

The CM also took a swipe at opposition parties, stating that those who had predicted bloodshed over the temple’s construction were proven wrong by the peaceful resolution of the issue.

Adityanath drew parallels between Uttar Pradesh’s development and the potential for progress in Jammu and Kashmir. He noted that UP had not witnessed a single riot in the past 7-7.5 years, with all festivals being celebrated peacefully. The Chief Minister asserted that Jammu and Kashmir deserves similar development and prosperity.

In a sharp critique of previous Governments , Adityanath accused the Congress, National Conference, and People’s Democratic Party of exploiting the region, promoting religious extremism, and fostering corruption and terrorism for political gain. He contrasted their alleged failures with the BJP’s achievements, including the abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, which he claimed had led to accelerated development in J&K.

The UP Chief Minister highlighted the establishment of new educational institutions like IITs, IIMs, and AIIMS in the region, as well as improvements in infrastructure and tourism. He accused previous governments of providing youth with weapons instead of opportunities, while praising the Modi government’s focus on skill development and job creation.

Adityanath concluded by invoking the vision of Syama Prasad Mukherjee, who had advocated for the removal of Article 370 in the 1950s. He emphasized that with the article’s abrogation, Jammu and Kashmir was now on a path of rapid development and integration with the rest of India.(TDD)
