Balakote, Mendhar ,TDD,– The Indian Army, under the aegis of the BG Brigade, successfully organized a Youth Agnipath Awareness and Interaction Programme on 4th December 2024 in Balakote. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 300 youth aged 16-21 from the region.
Led by Col Abhay Sharma, Army Recruitment Officer, Jammu, the programme aimed to provide detailed insights into the Agnipath scheme, encouraging youth to explore career opportunities in the armed forces. The initiative highlighted not only the benefits of the scheme in shaping disciplined and skilled citizens but also its potential to generate employment opportunities for the population residing in border areas.
To further inspire the participants, a weapon display was organized, showcasing advanced military equipment and offering a glimpse into the life of a soldier.
This outreach reflects the Indian Army’s commitment to empowering border-area youth with meaningful career prospects while fostering patriotism and service to the nation.TDD
