Udhampur :DD,In fact, a beautiful success story in this regard came forth from Udhampur’s Kud village, in the form of five-year transformation in Tariq Aziz’s poultry, when he not only turned this little venture in a poultry but created a self-employment job, which employed many birds,eventually reach numbers as high as over 200.
Starting from the humblest of beginnings, Tariq has now started a poultry business from which he gets a steady monthly income and, in the process, has employed two other youths in his area. His story has now become a beacon of hope for many young entrepreneurs in the region.
The next entrepreneurial chapter in the life of Tariq is soon to begin as he gears up to diversify his poultry farm with a larger one that is to be financed by a loan sanctioned under the Rural Employment Generation Programme, launched by Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC).
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the government initiatives, Tariq encourages other young people to take advantage of government schemes rather than falling into substance abuse. His message is entrepreneurship and self-reliance.
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai said that a total of 69 cases were sanctioned under the REGP scheme in the district, and as many as 25 young entrepreneurs have already commenced their business venture. “We want to create employment opportunities among the youth. It is in this context that the administration will promote entrepreneurship at all levels.DD
