Marwah, (DD: In a decisive move to uphold accountability in the education sector, the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Marwah has issued Show Cause Notices to 12 government school teachers for unauthorized absence following the winter vacation. The action was taken in response to complaints from local representatives (PRIs) and concerned residents about the teachers’ failure to resume their duties, disrupting the academic calendar.
The absent teachers have been given two days to provide a written explanation for their absence. Until a satisfactory response is received, their salaries from March 2025 onwards will remain withheld. Further disciplinary action under service rules may follow if they fail to comply.

The notice has also been forwarded to the Chief Education Officer Kishtwar and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Marwah for further action and monitoring.
