Jammu Police under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah enhance community engagement through PCPG meeting at village Kheri

Jammu,DD,In a proactive step towards strengthening police-community relations, Jammu Police conducted a Police Community Participation Group (PCPG) meeting under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah at Village Kheri. The meeting, Chaired by SHO Police Station Bishnah, Inspector Sushil Choudhary, was attended by PSI Mohd Zahid, PSI Darshab Singh, PSI Abhieet Saini, along with ex-Panches, ex-Sarpanches, Numberdars, Chowkidaars and other prominent citizens of the area.

The meeting served as a platform for open dialogue between the police and the public, focusing on crime prevention, community safety, and collaborative efforts to address issues such as drug abuse, thefts, and law enforcement cooperation. Officers emphasized the importance of public participation in maintaining law and order, assuring timely action on grievances raised by the residents.

Local citizens highlighted concerns regarding enhanced night patrolling, traffic regulation, and the need for awareness initiatives on cybercrime and drug de-addiction. The officers acknowledged these concerns and assured continued engagement, stressing that community support is crucial in tackling crime effectively.

Jammu Police reiterated its commitment to proactive policing and trust-building measures, encouraging residents to act as stakeholders in crime prevention. The officials urged the community to promptly report suspicious activities, reinforcing the role of citizen vigilance in maintaining security.

This initiative is part of Jammu Police’s ongoing efforts to foster community-driven policing, ensuring a safer, more secure environment for all. Regular PCPG meetings will continue to be organized across the region to enhance communication, build trust, and promote collective responsibility in upholding law and order.DD
