Jammu: DD, The International Border residents have started renovating, white washing, and clearing the civilian bunkers in the border villages, amid rising tension between India and Pakistan, following the Pahalgam terror attack.

Although the International Border remains peaceful, the villagers in Arnia, Suchetgarh and other areas in Jammu, Samba and Kathua Districts have taken initiative to renovate/clean/white wash the civilian bunkers along the border that provide safe shelters to the villagers in case of hostile situation between the India-Pakistan.
“We are cleaning the bunkers so that they can be used during any kind of hostile situation between the two countries. We stand with whatever decision is being taken by the Government of India to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack,” the local resident said.
Similarly, the civilian population is equally cautious about the recent development in Rajouri-Poonch, and accordingly, they are taking all the precautions amid increasing tension along the Line of Control (LoC).
