Man kills wife in RS Pura, arrested from Punjab

JAMMU:TDD, Police today claimed to have worked out murder of a woman in RS Pura, who was allegedly murder by her husband because of suspicion on her character.
However, the police acted swiftly and arrested the accused from Punjab within 48 hours of the blind murder case. The arrested person has been identified as Parkash Paswan alias Santosh, son of Dalip Paswan, resident of Fulwari, Purnia Bihar.
Police said that on 04-10-2024, information through reliable sources was received at Police Station R. S. Pura that an unidentified female dead body was lying at Badyal Brahmana in the field of Ramesh Kumar, son of Devi Dayal, resident of Ramnagar in Basti Badyal Brahmana of Tehsil R. S. Pura, District Jammu. It was found that she was murdered by some unidentified persons.
Instantly, the police lodged a case FIR Number 216 of 2024 under section 103 BNS at Police Station R.S. Pura and accordingly took up the investigation into the case.
During the course of investigation, police said that a police team of Police Station R. S. Pura headed by SHO Police Station R. S. Pura Inspector Naveen Angral under the supervision of SDPO R. S. Pura was constituted.
The investigation police team arrested a suspected person namely Parkash Paswan alias Santosh, son of Dalip Paswan, resident of Fulwari, Purnia Bihar on 06/10/2024 from Khanauri District Sangrur, Punjab with the help of technical assistance / police of Police station Khanauri.
Later, the said person was brought to Police Station R. S. Pura.
“During his questioning, he confessed his involvement in the murder case. The accused person disclosed that his marriage was solemnized with one Neha at Sonipat. Now, he was residing with Neha at Badyal Brahmana for the last three months, as he was doing the labour work in the Badyal Brahmana area. Initially, they (Parkash and Neha) were residing the house of Amar Nath, son of Badyal Brahmana and now, they were residing in the house of Parveen Kumar, resident of Badyal Brahmana for the last 20 days,” the police, quoting investigation revealed.
Meanwhile, the police further stated that the accused person (Parkash Paswan) further disclosed that he had doubt regarding the character of his wife Neha and on 03-10-2024, at about 2100 hrs, a scuffle occurred between the owner of the house Parveen and both of them (i.e., Parkash and Neha), due to which, they left the house of said Parveen Kumar and moved towards the cattle shed of Ramesh Chander, son of Devi Dayal, resident of Badyal Brahmana (the said cattle shed is existing in the fields and no one is residing there during night hours), where they took shelter for night and when his wife was sleeping, he (Parkash Paswan) attacked her with a brick and then strangled her with her dupatta and murdered her.
After committing the murder, he threw the dead body in the paddy field at Badyal Brahmana and fled away from the spot. Investigation of the case is going on.TDD
