AAP Rally in Doda Postponed Due to Model Code of Conduct; Kejriwal’s Visit Rescheduled

Jammu:TDD, In a sudden turn of events, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has been forced to postpone its planned rally in the Doda district of Jammu due to restrictions imposed by the Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

The rally, which was originally scheduled for October 10, has now been pushed to Sunday, October 15, as announced by party officials.

Mehraj Malik, the victorious AAP candidate from Doda, took to the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to explain the situation. He stated that due to the MCC, the helicopters carrying party leaders Arvind Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann, and Sanjay Singh would not be permitted to fly to the region. This logistical hurdle necessitated the rescheduling of the entire event.

Further details were provided by Sanjay Singh, an AAP Member of Parliament, who also used X to inform the public about the change in plans. According to Singh, AAP’s National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal was originally slated to visit Doda on October 10 to express gratitude to the voters for Mehraj Malik’s victory.

However, the implementation of the election code of conduct has led to the postponement of this program.

Singh announced the new schedule, stating that Kejriwal will now arrive at Doda Stadium on Sunday at 1 PM. This rescheduling allows the party to comply with the MCC while still fulfilling their commitment to thank the electorate.

As the AAP looks to strengthen its presence in Jammu and Kashmir, this rally in Doda holds significant importance. The party’s ability to navigate these regulatory challenges while maintaining public engagement will be crucial for its political aspirations in the region.TDD
