JU Organizes Outreach Programme “Ek Pyari Mulakat Baachon Ke Saath”

Jammu ,TDD, The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM), University of Jammu organized a heartwarming outreach programme, “Ek Pyari Mulakat Baachon Ke Saath,” at Ved Mandir Bal Niketan, Amphalla. Inspired by the theme “Together, Let’s Make Every Heart Glow,” the event, organized by SHTM’s MBA (TTM) 3rd semester students, aimed to bring joy and learning to young minds.
The day began with an inauguration ceremony attended by Prof. Anil Gupta, Director of School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, University of Jammu alongside faculty members Dr. Suvidha Khanna, Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Dr. Nikita Dogra, Dr. Honeyka Mahajan, and Mr. Tapas Tandon, all of whom expressed their enthusiasm and support for the programme. Their presence underscored the School’s dedication to fostering social responsibility through education.
The event saw the active participation of Ved Mandir children in a series of interactive games designed to inspire creativity and foster joy, facilitated by the MBA (TTM) 3rd semester students. These engaging activities infused the day with vibrant energy, as young participants showcased their talents.
Reflecting on the event, Prof. Anil Gupta remarked, “This programme exemplifies our commitment to holistic education, encouraging our students to engage empathetically with the community and to make a positive impact on young lives.”
The president, vice president, and secretary of Ved Mandir Bal Niketan expressed heartfelt appreciation for SHTM’s thoughtful efforts, acknowledging the meaningful impact it made on the lives of the children.
Coordinated by Dr. Suvidha Khanna and her team, with the dedicated support of Department staff and students, the event concluded with a session of heartfelt reflections. Both children and students expressed gratitude for the memorable experience, parting with smiles and a deeper understanding of the value of community service.TDD
