Udhampur, India – Two Pakistani terrorists were neutralized today in an encounter with Indian Army and Security forces in the Kathua-Udhampur forest area of Jammu and Kashmir. The incident occurred in Kadwa, Khandara, within the Basantgarh region.
Acting on specific intelligence about a possible presence of terrorists, the Indian Army and other security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area. As the security forces closed in on the suspected hideout, the terrorists opened fire, triggering a fierce gun battle.
In the ensuing encounter, two terrorists were killed. The operation is still ongoing as security forces continue to search the area for any other possible militants. While the identities of the slain terrorists are yet to be confirmed, sources suggest that they were likely of Pakistani origin.

A thorough search of the encounter site led to the recovery of a large cache of arms and ammunition, including sophisticated rifles, grenades, and other lethal materials. This suggests that the terrorists were well-equipped and had planned to carry out a major attack.
