Indian Army Conducts Awareness Programme For Veterans And Army Personnel at Akhnoor

Akhnoor, TDD,Indian Army in coordination with State Bank of India organised an awareness programme for veterans and Indian Army personnel focusing on the benefits and facilities provided by the bank to serving soldiers and veterans. The programme aimed to educate the audience on the advantages of the Defence Salary Package (DSP) account, facilities offered by SBI to serving soldiers, prevention of fraud, and claim procedures. The event was attended by 420 Army Personnel and 16 veterans. During the programme, SBI officials briefed the audience on the exclusive benefits of the DSP account, including grievance resolution process, prevention of fraud and banking advice for veterans. In addition, the programme emphasized the importance of fraud prevention and educated the audience on how to safeguard themselves against financial fraud. The claim procedure for various benefits was also explained in detail. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Krishan Sharma, CGM, Chandigarh Circle, SBI, said, “We are committed to supporting our brave soldiers and veterans. This awareness programme is a testament to our efforts in empowering them with knowledge and facilities to manage their finances effectively.” The programme was well-received by the audience, who appreciated SBI’s initiative in conducting such an informative session.TDD
