Doda, (DD) Security forces have intensified their operations in Doda and Kishtwar districts after confirming the presence of terrorists in the region. The search operations, now in their eighth day, were launched following suspicious movements in Kathua’s Hiranagar sector, which raised concerns over possible infiltration.
In a significant breakthrough, security personnel uncovered a terrorist hideout in Doda’s Bhalra forest area. The search team recovered a pistol, three magazines, and 25 rounds of AK rifle ammunition, confirming the likelihood of militant activity in the region. The discovery has prompted an increased deployment of forces, with additional roadblocks and night surveillance operations.
Meanwhile, in Kathua, a crossfire incident between security forces and suspected Jaish-e-Muhammad terrorists led to minor injuries to a 7-year-old girl. Officials have assured that she is stable, but the encounter has further escalated security concerns across Jammu’s sensitive districts.
Authorities have urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. With increased drone monitoring, combing operations, and a high-alert security grid, forces remain determined to neutralize any threats and ensure the region’s safety.
