Army jawan killed, six others injured in Billawar road mishap

KATHUA, TDD: One Army jawan lost his life, and six other sustained multiple injuries, when an army vehicle today plunged into a deep gorge near Sukrala Devi Shrine in Billawar in Kathua district.
“The army vehicle rolled into a gorge near Sukrala Devi Shrine in Billawar. In this road mishap, seven army jawans were wounded, including one critically, who later succumbed to the injuries,” a report claimed.
Immediately after the road mishap the injured army personnel were evacuated from the accident site and shifted to the SDH Billawar for treatment.
However, one of the critically injured jawan was pronounced dead. The deceased soldier has been identified as Sepoy Ram Kishore. Later, the six other injured soldiers were airlifted to the army hospital.
Meanwhile, the investigation into the cause of the road mishap is being investigated by the police and the army separately. TDD
