Ramnagar, Udhampur -TDD, In a fervent election rally held in Ramnagar Constituency, Udhampur District, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and National President of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Tejasvi Surya, addressed a large crowd, making several bold statements about the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections and launching sharp criticisms against opposition leaders.
Surya expressed strong confidence in the BJP’s prospects, stating that the party is poised to form a government with a full majority in the upcoming J&K elections.
He emphasized the significance of these polls, noting they would be the first since the abrogation of Article 370.
“The abrogation of Article 370 has ushered in a new era of peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir,” Surya declared.
“We’ve seen a marked reduction in terrorist activities and a simultaneous rise in job opportunities for the young people of the region.”
Tejsavi Surya criticized previous Governments, alleging that they had discriminated against the Jammu region by disproportionately allocating funds to Srinagar.
He contrasted this with the current situation, claiming that cross-border infiltration and militant activities, which were once rampant, have now been dramatically reduced.
Surya launched a scathing attack on Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
He recalled the “dire” conditions in Srinagar’s Lal Chowk during the Congress’ rule, stating that the army couldn’t enter without bulletproof vehicles. In contrast, he pointed out that the Gandhis recently enjoyed ice cream in the same area, crediting this change to Prime Minister Modi’s decisive actions.
The BJP leader accused Rahul Gandhi of “openly partnering with those who wish harm upon our nation” and alleged that Gandhi shares platforms with individuals working to undermine India when traveling abroad.
“Rahul Gandhi is the Leader of Opposition, but he has become a leader of those opposing the country itself,” Surya remarked. He emphasized that Gandhi needs to understand the responsibilities that come with his constitutional position and act accordingly.
He stressed the importance of the upcoming election for J&K’s continued development, stating, “This election is crucial for accelerating the pace of development in Jammu and Kashmir. A BJP government with a full majority will ensure that the region’s growth trajectory remains strong and steady.”
As the J&K assembly elections approach, Surya’s speech underscored the BJP’s determination to capitalize on the changes following the revocation of Article 370 and to position the party as the best choice for the region’s development and security. These elections are widely seen as a crucial test for the party’s narrative in the Union Territory.TDD
