Jammu :DD,Chief Minister of J&K Omar Abdullah attended wreath-laying ceremony in Jammu for Head Constable Jagbir Singh, who sacrificed his life during a intense encounter with Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammad militants in Kathua district.
The memorial ceremony at Gulshan Ground police headquarters saw top officials paying homage to Singh, who was the officer in charge of the Safiyan police post.
Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary was among the tribute along with Minister Satish Sharma, Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat, and top officials from civil administration, police, CRPF, BSF, and Army, each laying wreaths in front of Singh’s flag-covered coffin.
The fatal face-off inside Kathua’s remote Safiyan forest area Martyrdom four police cops while two JeM militants were eliminated.
