KISHTWAR:TDD, The Cyber Crime unit of Kishtwar Police have recovered an online defrauded amount of Rs 1, 32, 000.
In this recent breakthrough, officials said that the Cybercrime Investigation Unit resolved multiple online fraud cases, recovering a total amount of Rs 1,32,000 as mentioned in the headline.
“The scams included mobile recharge frauds, unauthorized third-party app installations, malicious Telegram links promoting fake Aadhaar card updates, as well as fraudulent trading apps like Aviator, Happy-bet, 11-winner, and Skywinner,” the official stated.
Since its inception, it was informed that the Cybercrime Investigation Unit Kishtwar has recovered a total of ₹ 43,56,618 (Forty-three lakh fifty-six thousand six hundred eighteen rupees) from various online scams, reaffirming its effectiveness and dedication to combating cybercrime.
The District Police Kishtwar has urged the public to remain vigilant against online fraud.
The people were urged to avoid suspicious links, unauthorized app installations, and sharing personal details online.
The people were advised to report any suspicious activities to the National Cybercrime Helpline at 1930, the Cybercrime Investigation Unit Kishtwar at 9103416100, or PCR Kishtwar at 9906154100 / 9103454100.
