Kathua :TDD, Security forces successfully neutralized a Pakistani terrorist during an ongoing operation in the Mandli area of Billawar, Kathua District, Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter, which began yesterday, resumed in the early hours of this morning, resulting in the terrorist’s death and the retrieval of his body.
ADGP Jammu Anand Jain is personally overseeing the operation, which remains active. The previous day’s fierce gunfight in Kog Mandli Village claimed the life of a Jammu and Kashmir Police head Constable and left a Deputy Superintendent of Police (Operations) and an Assistant Sub Inspector wounded.
The confrontation erupted when a joint security team, acting on specific intelligence, launched a search operation in the area. As forces made contact with the terrorists, an intense exchange of fire ensued. ADGP Jain visited the site earlier today to assess the situation firsthand as the security forces continue their efforts to secure the area.TDD
