Srinagar,TDD: Director General of Police (DGP) Jammu and Kashmir, R.R. Swain, has expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Head Constable Bashir Ahmad of Jammu and Kashmir Police, who sacrificed his life in an encounter with foreign terrorists in Kathua district.
In a heartfelt message, the DGP conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family, assuring them of the unwavering support of the entire police force. While the loss of HC Bashir is irreparable, the DGP pledged to provide all possible assistance to the family and avenge his martyrdom. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of other injured personnel.
HC Bashir Ahmad, a courageous police officer, exhibited exemplary bravery in the face of danger. He fearlessly confronted foreign terrorists, using his Light Machine Gun (LMG) to inflict heavy casualties before succumbing to his injuries.
