‘Participants Showcase Spirit of Fitness, Unity and Patriotism’

Jammu,DD: BSF Jammu Frontier, organized the grand flag-off ceremony of the Jammu BSF Marathon 2025 and the BSF Motorcycle Rally from Jammu to Bhuj (Gujarat) at Shaheed Veer Dev Stadium, BSF Camp Paloura.
The event witnessed vibrant participation from BSF personnel, border residents, foreign athletes, and civilians, reflecting an inspiring blend of fitness, courage, and national pride.
The ceremony was graced by Daljit Singh Chawdhary, IPS, DG BSF, as the Chief Guest, and attended by Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, renowned para archer Rakesh Kumar, and Bollywood actor Vivek Razdan as the Guests of Honour.
Jammu BSF Marathon 2025, flagged off at 0500 hrs, was the highlight of the day. Hundreds of participants, including BSF personnel, border residents, and foreign athletes, ran alongside local runners.
The marathon aimed to foster friendship, fitness awareness, and national integration, while honouring the unwavering dedication of BSF personnel safeguarding the nation’s borders.
After the race, the winners were felicitated by the Chief Guest and Guests of Honour with trophies, medals, and cash prizes.
Addressing the gathering, DG BSF Daljit Singh Chawdhary congratulated the winners and lauded the enthusiasm of all participants, for promoting unity through sports.
He emphasized that such events strengthen bonds of friendship and reflect BSF’s commitment to discipline and fitness.
Later, at 1040 hrs, the BSF Motorcycle Rally was flagged off by the DG BSF. The rally, covering the route from Jammu to Bhuj (Gujarat), aims to spread the message of national integration and patriotism. Rally participants will traverse multiple states, fostering unity and national pride across the country.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, celebrity guests, participants, event organizers, and media representatives for their contribution to the success of the event.DD
