Udhampur:TDD, In a vibrant display of commitment to Mahatma Gandhi’s legacy and the National campaign “Swachta Hi Sewa-2024,” the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Udhampur celebrated Gandhi Jayanti at the District Court Complex.
The event commenced with a spirited cleanliness drive led by Virinder Singh Bhou, the Principal District and Sessions Judge of Udhampur. Joining him were other Judicial officers, including Dinesh Gupta, Pooja Raina, Rekha Kapoor, Ajay Kumar, Akash Deep, and Rishab Koushal. Para legal volunteers (PLVs) and DLSA staff also actively participated in the initiative.
Together, they scrubbed and cleaned every corner of the court complex, reflecting their dedication to cleanliness and their support for the Swachta Hi Sewa campaign.
The cleanliness drive was not just a symbolic gesture but a practical demonstration of the DLSA’s commitment to upholding Gandhi’s principles.
By cleaning their workplace, the participants aimed to honor the Mahatma’s legacy of cleanliness and self-sufficiency.
Following the cleanliness drive, a colourful rally was organized, starting from the District Court Complex and culminating at Domail Chowk, Udhampur.
The rally served as a powerful platform to raise awareness among the public about the importance of cleanliness and the values espoused by Gandhi Ji.
The Secretary DLSA Udhampur, Ajay Kumar, addressed the participants, emphasizing the significance of Gandhi Ji’s teachings on cleanliness and non-violence. He urged the community to adopt practices that contribute to maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
