Ganderbal killings: NIA team steps in to probe attack

Team led by senior official reached attack site early morning

Srinagar, (TDD): A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), today stepped in to probe the deadly attack in Gagangeer are of Ganderbal that left a local doctor and six labourers dead and several others critically wounded.
Official sources told the Diplomat that a high-level team of NIA reached Gagangeer area of Ganderbal to investigate the attack.
An official said that the NIA team led by a senior official reached the attack site early morning today. “The NIA will investigate all possible angles that led to this attack,” the official said that the team collected important evidences from the spot.
The attack that left a doctor from Budgam and six labourers dead has evoked wide spread condemnation from all quarters that include LG Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and BJP. Home Minister Amit Shah has also condemned the attack terming it cowardly act— (TDD)
