Ramban, DD, A powerful storm accompanied by heavy rainfall lashed Ramban last night, causing widespread damage across the region. Several trees were uprooted, falling on vehicles parked along the roadside. Preliminary reports indicate that numerous private vehicles, the local Community Hall, and several Government buildings have sustained significant damage.
Sanjay Verma, a local resident, said, “It was terrifying. Around midnight, the wind was so strong that we could hear trees crashing down. We’ve never seen anything like this before in recent years.”
Virender Singh, another resident, shared, “Several cars, including mine, have been badly damaged. We urge the administration to expedite relief efforts and assess losses promptly.”
vinod Kumar Range Officer Ramban, confirmed, “We are conducting a survey of the damaged structures. Restoration work has begun and our priority is to ensure public safety and resume normalcy as quickly as possible.”
Authorities have urged citizens to remain cautious and avoid venturing into storm-hit areas until cleanup operations are complete.DD
