Kishtwar: DD, Heavy snowfall in Appan Marwah and its surrounding areas has led to the complete closure of all roads, causing severe difficulties for the local population. The region has been cut off from its central tehsil headquarters, making access to essential facilities extremely challenging.
The livelihood of the people in these areas largely depends on livestock farming. However, due to the snowfall, grass and fodder supplies are depleting rapidly, posing a major crisis for farmers who rely on cattle rearing. Residents fear that if the snow is not cleared soon and fodder is not provided, they may suffer further financial losses.
The locals have urged the government and administration to take immediate action to remove the snow and reopen the roads so that they can meet their basic needs and secure food for their livestock. People have expressed hope that the authorities will take swift measures to resolve this issue.DD
