Indian Army’s Medical Patrol Wins Trust of Local Population in Jammu Region

Akhnoor: The Indian Army has continued its medical patrols in remote, hilly, and difficult terrain across the Jammu region, earning the trust of the local population, often beyond that of civil authorities.

As part of its sustained efforts to support local communities, the Indian Army conducted a medical patrol in the general area of Dhanna village. The initiative aimed to provide essential medical assistance to civilians residing in remote areas with limited access to healthcare facilities.

The primary objective of the medical patrol was to promote healthy living and address common medical issues prevalent among villagers. “Given the constraints in medical infrastructure, such initiatives play a vital role in fostering goodwill and harmony between the local population and the security forces,” a defence spokesperson said.

In addition to healthcare support, the patrol served as a platform for the Army to further strengthen its relationship with the local community, reinforcing trust and cooperation through humanitarian assistance.

This initiative highlights the Indian Army’s commitment to the well-being and upliftment of the region’s citizens, while furthering mutual understanding and collaboration between the security forces and the local population.DD
