Jammu – Delhi Police Joint Teams Arrest Three ‘Khouff Gang’ Before Their Planned Escape to Nepal

Jammu: DD, In a major breakthrough, Jammu Police in a joint operation with Delhi Police arrested five persons including main accused in daylight shootout in a murder case that happened at Jewel Chowk area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowabad, Jammu.
As per the sources, all the five persons including two accomplices of the main accused and his two partners in the brutal murder of Sumit Jandyal of Vijaypur, Samba were brought to Jammu.
As per the officials, a joint operation was launched by the Jammu Police under the supervision of DIG Jammu-Kathua-Samba Range, Shiv Kumar Sharma and coordinated with Delhi Police.
“To work out the murder case, Jammu police constituted several teams and accordingly, raids were conducted following intelligence inputs to nab the absconding murder accused,” said the officials.
In this process, the police in Delhi were also on alert, and they were in touch with Jammu Police.
“As police were constantly sharing information, an intelligence input about the presence of three criminals (members of Khouff gang), including main murder case was received in Delhi,” they informed.
On the basis of the inputs, a joint operation was planned and executed near ISBT Kashmiri Gate in Delhi.
Before the accused persons could escape to Nepal, the officials said that the joint police teams apprehended the murder accused persons, including two of their accomplices.
In this raid, the joint teams arrested three members of Khouff gang i.e., Harsh (alleged main accused), Arun, and Ajay.
Their accomplices identified as Abhay and Raj were also arrested. All of them were brought to Jammu for further investigation.
A murder case is registered at Police Station Nowabad, Jammu.DD
