Anantnag,(DD): In the aftermath of the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, security forces have launched an extensive crackdown across Anantnag district to dismantle terror networks and restore peace.

According to a police spokesperson, Anantnag Police, in collaboration with the Army, CRPF, and other security agencies, have intensified cordon and search operations at multiple locations. Day and night raids are being carried out under heightened alertness. So far, around 175 suspects have been detained for questioning as part of efforts to break the support system aiding terrorist activities.

To strengthen security further, additional Mobile Vehicle Check Points (MVCPs) have been set up to monitor movements and prevent any potential threats.

The statement added that Cordon and Search Operations (CASOs), ambushes, and intensified patrolling, particularly in dense forest areas, are underway to eliminate any hidden militant presence.

Anantnag Police, along with allied forces, reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and thwarting any attempts to disrupt normalcy. The public has been urged to cooperate with law enforcement and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station.(DD)
