‘Darbar Move a legacy, needs to be revived’

Srinagar, (TDD): National Conference leader and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq today said that nobody from his party (NC) will attend the UT Foundation Day tomorrow.
“We don’t accept J&K as a UT. So, no one from NC will attend the UT foundation day, ” Sadiq told reporters here.
Pertinently, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, V K Bidhuri has extended an invitation to mark the celebration of UT foundation day that is being celebrated at SKICC tomorrow. The J&K UT LG Manoj Sinha will be the chief guest on the occasion.
Meanwhile, the NC leader said that the Darbar Move has been the legacy and needs to be restored. “This issue is somehow linked to restoration of Statehood,” Sadiq said.
He further said that there are other issues that need to be addressed which include ration enhancement, gas cylinders, besides, there are so many expectations with this government by the people, who have voted for NC.
“We have a huge mandate which is for five years,” he said. About the alleged attack by the mob on NC MLA from Gurez, Nazir Gurezi, Sadiq said some BJP workers aren’t happy with the victory of NC and may have resorted to hooliganism. (TDD)
