New Delhi, The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has formally taken over the investigation into the brutal terror attack at Pahalgam, Kashmir, which left 26 innocent tourists dead earlier this week. The move comes following directives from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
NIA teams, stationed at the crime scene since Wednesday, have intensified efforts to gather evidence and reconstruct the sequence of events. Senior officers — including an Inspector General (IG), Deputy Inspector General (DIG), and Superintendent of Police (SP) — are leading the investigation.
Officials are meticulously questioning eyewitnesses who witnessed the horrifying assault at the picturesque Baisaran Valley. Forensic experts are assisting in scouring the area for vital clues.
Entry and exit points are under strict scrutiny as investigators search for information about the attackers’ movements and their modus operandi. Authorities believe unraveling the conspiracy behind the attack is crucial, as the nation reels from the shock of one of Kashmir’s deadliest terror strikes.(Agencies)
