Kishtwar:TDD,Under the supervision of SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom – JKPS, Kishtwar Police today organized a heartfelt cultural programme dedicated to the memory of our brave martyrs.
The event took place at the Auditorium Hall of Government Degree College, Kishtwar, honoring the unwavering dedication and spirit of our heroes.
The programme commenced with the National Anthem, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Tabassum Saleem, Assistant Professor at GDC Kishtwar. The event was anchored by Shri Zorawar Singh.
The gathering was graced by Addl. SP Kishtwar. Sh. Pawan Sharma Dy. SP DAR Sh. Sajjad Khan, Prof. Umar Din, who served as the Chief Guest. Other esteemed faculty members present included Prof. NK Manhas, Dr. Yasar Ahmad, Prof. Jaideep, Dr. Sehrish Gazal, and Professor Ashfaq Wani.
The programme featured performances of patriotic songs that resonated throughout the venue, encapsulating the essence of our rich heritage and the sacrifices of our courageous countrymen. Renowned local artists, including Simridhi Sen, Rohan Bandai, Nidhi, Rudra Sharma, and SPO Firdous Ahmed, captivated the audience with their soulful renditions, paying tribute to our nation’s soil and its defenders.
A significant highlight of the programme was the screening of a documentary showcasing the sacrifices of police martyrs from Kishtwar district. The film highlighted the exemplary work of the Special Operations Group (SOG) and the rigorous training of officers and officials at the Police Academy in Udhampur. Additionally, the theme song “Jammu Kashmir Police:” was played, commemorating the bravery and commitment of the police force.
In his message, SSP Kishtwar Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS extended heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, performers, musicians, and supporters who contributed to the event’s success. He emphasized that this gathering serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of cherishing our heritage and acknowledging the sacrifices that have shaped our nation.
The singers were honored with mementos by Addl. SP Kishtwar and Dy. SP DAR, along with best wishes for their future endeavors.
The event concluded with all participants and spectators observing a two-minute prayer in remembrance of the martyrs who made the supreme sacrifice for our nation.TDD
