Doda, (DD): In a concerning development, Jammu and Kashmir Police have discovered several Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) flags and around 30-35 balloons in the Gurakhara area of Gandoh, Doda.

The items, suspected to have drifted across the border, were found hanging from trees in the region.

Upon receiving the information, a police team led by SHO Gandoh Shahnawaz Geri rushed to the spot and began efforts to remove the flags and balloons. Speaking on the matter, SHO Gandoh stated that these items appeared to have crossed over from Pakistan and got entangled in trees on this side of the border.

“We are in the process of removing these flags and balloons. Such incidents are being closely monitored, and we are ensuring that there is no security concern associated with them,” he said.

Security agencies are now investigating the source and trajectory of these objects to assess whether this was an accidental occurrence due to wind currents or if there is any deliberate attempt behind such incidents.

Officials have urged locals to report any similar findings immediately so that authorities can take swift action. The discovery comes amid heightened security measures in the region, with police and intelligence agencies maintaining strict vigilance.(DD)
