Security forces recover huge cache of arms and ammunition in Sangla Top

MENDHAR:DD, Security forces today claimed to have busted a natural hideout of the terrorists and recovered three AK rifles with arms and war like stores from the general area of Sarabara in Sangla Top.
Acting swiftly on an intelligence input, the joint teams of 16 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) of Indian Army, Special Operation Group (SOG) of J&K Police conducted a search operation in the forest area of Sarabara near Singla Top.
It was during the search operation, the reports claimed that the security forces recovered a natural hideout where they seized a huge cache of arms and ammunition.
Among the recoveries include three AK-47 rifles with 23 AK magazines and 922 AK rifle magazine; two stun grenades; three meters of cortex; 19 detonators non-electric; one timer mechanism watch-type; one battery pack; three battery connectors, four bomb IED (China packing); one cylinder 4 inch; 500 grams of grease; three bottles of gun oil 100 ml; one pair shoes; one combat dress; one battery c-type 1.2 volt; one sizer, one pistol cover with one pistol rod, 10 cm safety fuze, 13 9 mm ball, 200 grams with box powder chitta and grenade no 36 – 05.
Meanwhile, the explosives recovered from the site were disposed of by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS). The search operation was called off at around 1800h.DD
