Jammu: DD, In order to provide a platform to the youth and channelize their energy in a positive manner, today football tournament under Civic Action Provramme (CAP) was inaugurated by SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh-JKPS at Khel Gaon ground, Nagrota.
On the occasion, SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma, JKPS, Principal Sanik School, Nagrota, SDPO Nagrota, Vinod Kumar, Officers from Army,Para military Forces, SHO Nagrota, SHO Jhajjar Kotli and other Officers/Officials of Police department were present.
Huge gatherings of spectators including prominent members from civil society and media fraternity were also present on the occasion. A total 05 teams will participate in this football tournament.
SP Rural Jammu welcomed all the guests and participants of teams .
SSP Jammu in his address emphasized that Jammu & Kashmir Police has always been looking for positive activities and is always on the fore-front to organise various youth engagements programmes and this one is also a step forward in this direction.He said that one of the basic objectives of organising this tournament is to explore and tap hidden talent of budding youth and give them opportunity to improve and tone up their skills and at the same time keep them away from drug abuse and other social evils.DD
