Kathua: In a significant victory against terrorism, Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police have eliminated a terrorist in a joint operation in Kathua district. The operation, codenamed “Op KUAIG,” was launched on September 28 in the Dhanuparole and Machhedi areas of Billawar in Kathua District.
According to official reports, the security forces engaged in a fierce encounter with the terrorist, leading to his neutralization. Warlike stores, including weapons and ammunition, were also recovered from the site. The operation remains ongoing as security personnel continue to scour the area for any potential threats.
The Indian Army’s Western Command took to Twitter to announce the successful operation. In a tweet, they stated, “Operation OpKUAIG launched by RisingStarCorps & jmukmrPolice on 28 Sep 24 in general area Dhanuparole, Machhedi in Kathua. One terrorist killed & warlike stores recovered, operation still in progress.”
