Jammu:DD, Police today claimed to have arrested three criminals with sharp edged weapons, as per the police statement.
During patrolling duty, a police team from Police Station Peer Mitha received information about some criminals with sharp edge weapons roaming near DPS School and threatening the passerby and creating a fear in the area.
Immediately, the police team consisting of PSI Anshu Dubey, PSI Usman Butt and others under the supervision of SHO Peermitha, Inspector Raza Ali reached the spot.
“All of these three were seen roaming with a sword in hand. After seeing the police party, they tried to run. However, they were arrested with a sword seized,” added the police in a statement.
The arrested persons have been identified as Adil Ahmed, son of Kurdish Ahmed, resident of Gujjar Nagar, Karan Kumar, son of Krishna Lal, resident of Bawe Wali Gali, Jammu and Mohd Shoaib, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Gujjar Nagar.
Accordingly, a case under FIR Number 38 of 2025 under section 3(5), 351 BNS and 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Peer Mitha. Further investigation of the case is underway.DD
