Two burglars booked under PSA in Kishtwar

Imran Shah
Kishtwar: DD, Two notorious burglars were today booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Kishtwar for their involvement in multiple thief incidents that had become a threat to the peace in the hilly district.
In a firm move to safeguard public order and deter repeated antisocial behavior, the District Magistrate Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, has issued detention orders under Public Safety Act, 1978 against two individuals involved in multiple cases of theft and burglary.

The accused persons have been identified as Mohammad Rizwan, resident of Gurian, Tehsil and Rahul Singh Chib, resident of Himachal Pradesh, presently residing near TRC Kishtwar.
After examining the dossiers submitted by the Kishtwar Police, the District Magistrate observed that both individuals have been consistently involved in antisocial activities, particularly theft and burglary, across various parts of the district, as per the officials.
The dossier was prepared on the basis that a number of FIRs have been registered against them.
The District Magistrate, Kishtwar, found their actions to be prejudicial to the maintenance of public order and ordered their detention under the PSA to prevent them from continuing such activities and to ensure the safety and security of the public.
Pertinently, the District Magistrate Kishtwar, has taken a proactive and uncompromising approach toward individuals indulging in unlawful activities.
With these latest PSA detentions, the administration has sent a clear message that repeat offenders involved in theft, burglary, or any acts disturbing public order and security of state will face strict legal action.
“No element involved in unlawful or disruptive activities will be allowed to create hindrance in the peaceful environment of the district. Those obstructing development works or engaging in activities against the interest of public order or security of state will face strict consequences under the law,” the DM told the media.DD
