BJP Suspends Three Leaders Following Impact of Pawan Khajuria’s Independent Rally in Udhampur East

Udhampur :TDD,In a significant political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has suspended three of its leaders in response to the growing influence of Pawan Khajuria’s independent candidacy in Udhampur East. Khajuria, a former BJP state vice president, decided to run as an independent candidate after being denied a party ticket. His recent rally drew a massive crowd, prompting the BJP to take swift action against party members supporting his campaign.

The suspended leaders, who were openly campaigning for Khajuria and even organizing stage events for him, faced immediate removal from the party. This move comes as the BJP attempts to maintain party discipline and control the narrative in the crucial Udhampur East constituency. The suspensions highlight the impact of Khajuria’s independent bid and the challenges faced by the BJP in managing internal dissent during the election season.
According to an Notice issued on September 28, 2024, by Sat Paul Sharma (CA), the BJP State Working President for J&K-UT, three party officials have been suspended with immediate effect. The suspended members are Amit Sharma, DDC Majalta; Prakshit Singh, DDC Jaganu; and Swarn Singh Rathore, District Vice President, BJP Udhamp

According to an Notice issued on September 28, 2024, by Sat Paul Sharma (CA), the BJP State Working President for J&K-UT, three party officials have been suspended with immediate effect. The suspended members are Amit Sharma, DDC Majalta; Prakshit Singh, DDC Jaganu; and Swarn Singh Rathore, District Vice President, BJP Udhampur. The notice states that the suspension is based on the recommendations of the Disciplinary Committee, citing “anti-party activities during the ongoing elections” as the reason for this action. The document reveals that these individuals had previously been served with a show cause notice regarding their conduct.
