Ganderbal: DD, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for over a dozen development projects worth Rs 36.50 crore across Ganderbal district.
CM Omar during his extensive tour, inaugurated six major sports infrastructure projects at Beehama, including the upgradation of Beehama Stadium, Madr-e-Meherban Stadium, and playfields at Gund Rehman, Manigam, Wakura, and Batwina.
He also unveiled new sports equipment and witnessed Judo, Thang-Ta, and Yoga performances by local youths.
At Saloora, the Chief Minister dedicated a 33/11 kilovolt, 1×6 MVA receiving station and opened the pre-fab indoor badminton hall at the Government College of Physical Education in Gadoora.
He also inaugurated a 400-metre synthetic athletic track, a synthetic football turf, and flagged off a 100-metre sprint for girls.
Additionally, CM Omar laid foundation stones for four key road projects in the district to improve connectivity, including the Shajinga Link Road, Khatijinag Road, Dar Mohallah-Watalbagh-Dangerpora Road, and Tehsil Bagh-Lar Bypass-Yanihama-Dangerpora Road. (KNC)
