Handwara, DD, Continuing its sustained efforts to eradicate the menace of drug abuse and channelize youth towards constructive nation-building, Handwara Police, in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services & Sports Handwara, today organised a seminar on “Nasha Mukht Yuva for Viksit Bharat” at Govt. High School Chogul.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, school staff, civil society members, and officers from Handwara Police. Eminent speakers highlighted the devastating impact of drug addiction on health, family, and society, stressing the shared responsibility of parents, teachers, community leaders, and law enforcement agencies in curbing this growing menace.
Speakers underscored that the campaign against drugs is not merely a law enforcement initiative but a people’s movement to secure a drug-free, healthier, and stronger future for the nation’s youth. Students were urged to become ambassadors of awareness in their communities and stay committed to a drug-free lifestyle for a brighter tomorrow.
On the occasion, all participants took a solemn pledge to stay away from drugs and to spread awareness among their peers, families, and neighbourhoods, ensuring collective contribution towards building a Nasha Mukht Bharat.
Handwara Police reaffirmed its resolve to continue organising such awareness programmes in educational institutions and public places across the district to ensure active community participation in the fight against drugs.DD
